iRISE began with a dream of a world where solutions actually solved real problems for people, where the help that arrived matched the hardship people were living with, not the categories a form could hold.
Much of the suffering people experience is preventable, and it persists because the data that shapes funding, policy, and programs looks at one category of existence at a time while people carry several all at once.
iRISE™, the Intersectional Resilience Index for Social Equity, is the tool built from that dream: a way to see how our experiences overlap in a place, so communities and the institutions that serve them can remove preventable hardship from people's lives.
